These closed-toed Dannto hiking sandals were a big surprise. I have a similar pair of Keen's, and we all know how pricey they are. My Keen's are about 4 years old and holding up well. I have to say that if the materials last, these very similar Danntos seem like an incredible deal at $40. They have a couple of improvements over the Keen's, like a rear strap to perfectly adjust the heal and thereby the shoe length, as well. They have a very long row of grommets, so you can use the elastic laces to make the toe box, the arch and the upper foot of the shoe fit each foot area. My feet are skinny in the morning but can get wider by night and they get quite swollen from long, standing subway rides and especially from long, sitting plane flights.More than l ever noticed before, at 65 I can't wear shoes that don't allow for expansion in width all along the shoe, even at the heel. The adjustments I described can allow me to loosen the shoe throughout the day if needed.So far, I highly recommend these shoes. l will add to my review as I wear them more and if the quality is not what l hope for. At $40, they are a good deal if they last a year and a great deal if they last over a couple of years!

Love, love, love these! I was pretty confident that I would like them based off of the reviews, but I was still surprised at how comfortable they were the instant I put them on. At first I thought they were just slightly too big (I usually wear an 8 in sandals and 8 ½ in tennis shoes), but the heel strap and the top strap on these made it so I could adjust the fit perfectly. I'm very glad I did not try the size 8 first because I like that there is a little extra room as my feet tend to swell throughout the day, especially when I'm doing a lot of walking, which I plan to be doing with these babies!

Oh my word, these are so comfortable! When these arrived, I put them side by side with my Keens, and I couldn't see any discernable difference. Then I tried them on and was *completely* sold. And nothing against Keens, but the Dannto price is so much more affordable for me. Highly recommend :)

Purchased for hawaii trip. I think they will be perfect for walking and easy hiking.

I bought a different color the first time I bought this product almost a year ago. That pair lasted 2 weeks shy of a year of me wearing them, which is great because for some reason, I flatten the insides of slippers/sandals so much since I wear them everyday. I wear them indoors because I can no longer wear sliders. They’re very comfy and I love them since they give good support. I have worn them in the beach too. I walk with a cane so it worked well for me. Nice and light too.
